Chasing The Cyclone’s Best-Selling Author Peter Thomas Senese Makes Stand Against International Child Abduction As Growing Concern Of Forecasts Hundreds Of Thousands Of Children Are At Risk Of International Kidnapping

I was astonished to learn that there is a very serious problem going on in America that is victimizing our children. It is called international parental child abduction (IPCA).

According to best-selling author and child advocate Peter Thomas Senese of the I CARE Foundation, a highly respected not-for-profit organization at the forefront of the war against the alarming growth in illegally kidnapping and abducted children in our nation, there may be as many as 125,000 American children and as much as 200,000 children living in North America internationally abducted by one parent from another over the next decade. Of this total, only 10% of these kidnapped children are expected to come home.

Why is this happening?

Apparently because society is filled with multi-cultural marriages comprised of individuals who are not citizens of the United States, or who may not have been born here, who eventually participate in a failed relationship that leads to divorce. When this occurs, generally the parent who is a non-national of the United States may have a desire to return to the country they were born in and where they may have deep family ties. Unfortunately, when this happens they more than likely would like to take their children with them.

And this is where the problem occurs: the children are U.S. citizens. And more than likely the American parent does not want their child or children to be taken to another country. And so, knowing that the laws to remove the child from the hometown they were born in and raised are strong, the other parent plans a scheme to abduct the children to their own country of origin. In doing so, they steal the other parent’s child, and equally, they deny the child the rights to know the love and familiarity of the parent who was left behind.

There are many frightening things I have learned about IPCA, and one of the primary issues is that most parents simply do not know or realize they are being targeted to have their child abducted. There are other issues, too, including the near impossibility to have your child legally returned. Furthermore, and this is really crazy, but if your ex spouse takes abducts your children outside of a court order), you, the left behind parent, are responsible for all financial costs including legal, private investigators, travel . . . you name it, you have to pay for it! And if you do not have the money, which could obviously cost tens of thousands of dollars, if not more, then you may never see your child again.

Review Bloggers – Stop Paying for Opportunities!

Something has been bothering me for quite some time and today, in my blogging group, someone posted the very thing that’s been bugging me – Sites that are promising review leads to people if they sign up – for a FEE. They promise to match you with the brands that are looking for you and so on.

Now don’t get me wrong, I give kudos to these site owners for finding their niche and trying to make some money, there is definitely a market for these types of sites BUT I personally don’t think blogger’s should shell out money for something they can very well do on their own.

When I first started getting into reviews/giveaways, I busted my butt contacting companies, sometimes 25 a day, and pitched to them why I thought I would be a great fit for their company. I didn’t have anyone holding my hand or finding leads for me, I searched them out myself, wrote what was probably a very amateur pitch email and hoped for a response….. and guess what? I received many return emails, some not interested, and others very willing to have me review a product.

Yes, it takes some time, but you owe it to yourself to be true to who you are and the only way to do that is to represent yourself.

Finding Opportunities

Contact the Brands you want to work with and simply ask to review a product.
Review items you already have, then make sure to tag the company on Facebook or mention on Twitter.
Search for opportunities on Twitter or Facebook
Create a Blogging Group – Know a bunch of bloggers? Start or Join a group on Facebook and share opportunities. (Most bloggers get pitched to at least 5 times a day or more, and are willing to share the opportunities, just make sure you have permission to share from the Brand or PR Rep, it’s not cool to share something without asking PLUS if it gets back to the rep it could cost you a connection).

BZZ Agent – Products to review. BzzCampaigns are how our BzzAgents discover, try and share popular new products and services (often for free) and influence big-name brands with their valued feedback.

MyBlogSpark – MyBlogSpark provides bloggers with some of the newest products on the market, along with fun and innovative ways they can share that news with their readers.

Members receive free products, exclusive offers, discounts, freebies and special perks from the companies and brands that want to introduce you to their newest products to drive awareness, engagement and if you love it – spread the word amongst your social circle.

AND the number one way to get more opportunities…….. Do a great job reviewing the product, don’t just slap up one paragraph and a stock photo, take the time to really present the product to your readers.

In the end, THAT is how you will get you more opportunities (and for FREE).

LAND O LAKES All-Natural Farm Fresh Eggs

The hens’ vegetarian diet consists primarily of whole ground corn and soybean meal, with no added hormones, antibiotics, animal fats or animal by-products

I love eggs and could eat them every day, but have to say that I get bored with making them the same way time and time again. So with a look at the LAND O LAKES website, I came up with my own recipe using a mini muffin pan.

Cheesy Sausage Egg Muffins

(My recipes are usually off the cuff, so you can figure out measurements to your taste. This one is so simple you could use a ton of different ingredients to make it your own).

5 eggs
Shredded Cheese
Sausage crumbles
Salt
Pepper
Mini Muffin tin

Add eggs, salt and pepper into a bowl and beat until frothy. Fill each well halfway, then add sausage crumbles and cheese. Make sure you don’t overflow the wells. Bake at 350 for about 15 minutes.
