I was given the opportunity to review the BEJEWELED Frenzy Card Game by Hasbro. I was excited, because I had the chance a few weeks ago to review the BEJEWELED Board Game and LOVED IT!

BEJEWELED Frenzy Card Game

Age: 8+; Players: 2-4; Available: Spring 2013; Approximate Retail Price: $14.99

It’s a sparkly flurry of a card game as kids race to match gems and build the largest stack of cards in Hasbro’s BEJEWELED Frenzy game. Kids will love competing with their friends to collapse their stack, collect Boost Gems and score the most points to win! The game comes with a link to redeem four Rare Gems to be used in the Bejeweled Blitz online game. Mobile device not included. To access the digital features, you must be 13 years or older and have a valid Facebook account. Additional terms and conditions apply to digital features offer.

My youngest son, who is 9, and my step-daughter and I set the game up to play. We dealt out the cards and started out. There was a slight learning curve to get started, but once we did, it was smooth sailing.

The object of the game is just like the computer and board versions – to get three matching gems. Each one of us took a turn and took a card in the hopes of making that match. If we did make a match, we were lucky enough to earn one of the gems. The object is to play until all the cards are gone, the person with the largest stack of cards, and the most points from the cards and gems, wins!

This is a great game to have on hand for Family Game Night, and one your kids will be asking to play again and again!

Oz the Great and Powerful Blu-ray / DVD + Digital Copy – Releases on June 11th

If you follow my blog, you know that back in February I had the pleasure of attending the premiere of Oz The Great and Powerful in LA. I am still reeling from the experience all these months later.

Tomorrow, June 11th, the Blu-ray / DVD + Digital Copy of Oz The Great and Powerful will be released. Now you can experience the magic for yourself.

I was excited to see the movie again, and it was even better this time. It did make me reminisce about being back in LA and among the stars on that magical night. All of the extras are awesome, and give you a behind the scenes experience like none before. Be sure to check out the Bloopers, you will love them!

The entire family loved this one, even the hubby, which was no surprise since he has been a Star Wars fan his whole life. It’s kind of like a Star Wars version of Jenga since you stack the blocks up to create the At-At, then launch the Angry Birds from the LIGHTSABER launcher to destroy it and get rid of the Imperial pigs. You can do this for hours by just simply restacking and attacking again, and again.

This was fun too, only problem we had was keeping it from the dog because she wanted to play with it! This is a great toy for Spring, we ended up taking it outside and playing catch, of course all the while we were doing it we made sure to make Star Wars sound effects

#Giveaway: Talking Ginger Birthday Party Giveaway Bash! #GingersBirthday

Guess who’s having a birthday? Talking Ginger is!

If you are an app fanatic, then you already know who Ginger is, and you may have also met his Talking Friends; Tom, Angela, Ben, and Gina, just to name a few, he’s popular, so he has a lot of friends.

I first saw Talking Ginger when my husband was playing with the app. I absolutely fell in love with him! It’s just so cute and interactive, especially when he repeats everything you say, we were literally crying from laughing so hard.

My kids also love Ginger and so we are happy to be able to help celebrate his big birthday!

We were sent a Ginger Superstar Plus toy, plus other goodies to help celebrate here in our home. First off, it is adorable, he looks just like the app. When you turn him on he makes that familiar cuckoo sound that you’ll recognize from the app. Once you turn him on, go to your phone and launch the app and go into your settings to switch to the “Superstar Toys” options so the app and the Talking Ginger can interact. Now all you have to do is Play!

Review: RoomMates Peel and Stick Wall Decals

Are you thinking about changing your child’s room? Maybe adding some paint, or new pictures? I have the perfect solution that will not only save you time and money, but will also make your child flip out!

RoomMates wall decals are stickers that come in all of your child’s favorite characters, that you can stick just about anywhere that has a flat surface. The best thing about them, besides all of the cool designs, they can be taken off the surface without leaving any residue and can be reused. Think about the possibilities, you can put them anywhere you or your child wants, and when you want to change it up, you just remove them and move to another area. No damage to the wall, or the sticker!

My son is a Mario fanatic, so he was ecstatic when we received the Mario wall decal pack. As you can see, the pack included all of his favorite Mario characters, and all in brilliant color and detail.

We’ve been wanting to paint the yellow walls, but seeing the sticker’s on them didn’t make it look so bad anymore. They totally give it a new look and the stickers popped against the color.

I let Nik put the stickers on the wall where he wanted them. He was pretty excited about them, as you can see, and made a little scene. He immediately told me that he would probably remove them and put even more characters ALL over the wall!

I tested the decals by allowing him to remove them himself. As you can see, they came off easily, and without taking the paint off the wall. We just simply placed them back on the decal sheet and they were ready to be placed somewhere else on the wall.

Nik and I absolutely loved the decals. I loved the fact that he could put them on the wall where he wanted them without help.

You can choose from many different decals, from Disney to movie themes. They even have decals of the very popular band One Direction.

BEJEWELED Board Game Review and Giveaway! #HasbroGameNight

Are you a fan of BEJEWELED online? If you are, then you NEED to get the new BEJEWELED Board Game from Hasbro! I received the game to review last week and my family has been playing it non-stop! The last few nights we have made it an after-dinner must!

Let me preface this entire review by saying that I am a BEJEWELED fanatic, I have been playing the digital version for years and am obsessed with it. When I saw that they made a board game out of it I was a little wary as to how it would translate. I am so used to the online game, and wasn’t so sure I could play the board version………I was so wrong!

I have a new obsession! One that is even better because my kids can play with me. I even got the 14-year-old to come out of his room long enough to play! Score!

The game comes with the game board, a bag, 70 scoring coins, 84 three-dimensional gems, and 7 three-dimensional power gems that have glitter inside. It also comes with an exclusive code for BEJEWELED 3 app for even more fun on the go.

To play, you need to separate out the power (glitter) gems and place them in the bag. Take the remaining gems and fill the game board making sure you don’t match three in a row anywhere. Place the remaining gems into the blue bag, and you are ready to play.

The first player tries to make a match by swapping gems to make 3, 4 or 5 gems in a row of the same color, just like the online version. Once you have made a match, you remove the gems from the board and collect a coin that matches the same color. You get one coin for 3 of the same color, two coins for 4 and three coins for a match of 5. If you get a power gem, you get an extra coin.

Then to finish your turn, you push the gems away from your side of the game board, if you make another match, you get those too. Fill up the gaps on the board with the extra gems in the bag, and put the gems you removed into the bag.

The first person to collect 3 scoring sets of coins wins!

We had so much fun playing BEJEWELED as a family. It’s funny how your brain kicks in like it does when you play online, you start seeing matches and where to make new ones almost immediately. I love that it helps my kids strategize and keep them on their toes. Better yet, the game is so fun, no one gets upset at not winning, we just play again until they do

This is a definite Game Night staple!
