I had the pleasure of receiving various Seventh Generation cleaning products as well as some of their “Mother Nature” inspiration, Ivette Melendez’s cleaning tools to try out in my home.
I love the fact that all of the cleaners are eco-friendly and do not contain harsh chemicals. I have to admit that I was a little bit of a bleach fanatic and used it to clean almost everything, mainly because I thought it was the best at killing germs. Seventh Generation products have changed that. Their Natural all-purpose spray is better in my opinion since they are unscented, non-toxic, hypo-allergenic, biodegradable and cleans and degreases (used it around my stove and it worked wonders).
The disinfecting wipes, are also amazing. They contain Thymol (component of thyme oil) which at first is a bit of an odd scent but you get used to it and I actually like the smell now.I can’t live without them now and am using them to wipe down everything, especially counter tops, fixtures and doorknobs. Never thought I’d be so excited to clean!
Now until May 31st, Seventh Generation’s is running a “Search for Mother Nature” contest. To be eligible to win you need to nominate someone you think of as “Mother Nature,” a person that has been inspirational to you by making their home, community and/or environment safer and healthier. The grand prize winner will be awarded a $5,000 green home makeover and both the nominated “Mother Nature” and the grand prize winner will receive a year’s supply of Seventh Generation products. IN addition, a $2,500 donation will be made in our “Mother Nature’s” name to an organization working to make the world a safer place.
